Properties of Neem and Its Ayurvedic Remedies
(Introduction)
The neem tree is very big. The neem tree plays a special role in purifying the environment because neem leaves contain beneficial elements that destroy bacteria. Due to these anti-disease powers of neem, 'antiseptic' medicines are made from it. Ancient Aryan sages have described neem as having supernatural properties, saying that neem removes many types of diseases from the human body. Many people have lived for several days by eating neem leaves, as well as living their normal lives by being powerful. The shade of the neem tree is quite pleasant during the summer days. Gum is obtained from the neem tree, from which medicines are made. Its tree is planted on temples, dharamshalas, roads, etc. for cool and fresh air. In the village, the people of the house that has a neem tree in the courtyard do not remain ill because they keep using neem. When the neem tree becomes very old, its wood starts smelling like pure sandalwood. Neem wood is used for making buildings, etc. Being bitter, it does not contain insects. The neem tree lives for many years. There is a good saying about neem: Neem is bitter to eat but is very beneficial. Therefore, it should be used. The neem tree is much better than the acacia tree because the acacia tree on the edge of the field sucks all the necessary nutritious mineral salts. But the neem tree is beneficial for crops. Therefore, farmers must plant it on the edge of their fields.
(Property)
According to Ayurvedic beliefs, neem is bitter. It is a vata, bile, phlegm, and blood disorder (cleanser of blood), skin diseases, and disinfectants. Neem destroys malaria, dental diseases, constipation, jaundice, hair diseases, leprosy, burns, blood bile (bloody bile), headache, vomiting, pimple (semen disorder), heartburn (heartburn), air (gas), labor (tiredness), aruchi (appetite enhancer), fever, stomach worms, poison (poison), eye (eyes) diseases, leucorrhea, etc. According to the Unani system of medicine, neem is hot and dry. Neem gum is a blood purifier and blood cleanser. It is a good remedy for syphilis (heat) and skin (skin) disease. According to the homeopathic system of medicine, neem keeps medicines for chronic diseases such as skin diseases, leprosy, quinine, etc. According to scientific analysis, neem contains a variety of elements such as margosine, sodium margosate, nimbidin, nimbosterol, nimbinin, stearic acid, olive acid, palmitic acid, volatile oil, and tannins, etc. The stable oil obtained from seeds yields 45 percent, which contains sulfur, resin, alkaloids, glucosides, and fatty acids. Along with this, salts of iron, calcium, and potassium, etc., are also found in small quantities. Neem gum also contains 26 percent pentosans, 12 percent galectin, and small amounts of albumins and oxides.
(Harmful effects)
Neem is harmful to those people who have a dry nature. Those whose limb power is weak should also avoid using neem excessively.
(Treatment of various diseases)
Hematoma (abscess):
Rub neem wood in water and apply one-inch-thick paste on the boil. This eliminates the abscess.
Nosebleeds
Grind neem leaves and carom seeds in equal quantity and apply it on the temples; it stops the nosebleeds.
Untimely greying of hair (palpitations)
Take 2-2 drops of neem seed oil through the nose and consume only cow's milk; it is beneficial in palpitations.
Smelling neem oil causes hair to turn black.
Extract the oil of the seeds by giving neem seeds many feelings of Bhangra and Vijaysar juice, then by taking 2-2 drops of it from the nose and eating only milk and rice in the diet, white hair becomes black.
Hair dandruff:
Make a decoction of a handful of neem leaves and rub it on the head 1 hour before bathing; it eliminates dandruff.
Dry the neem nibbles and mix them with Aritha and grind them finely. Dissolve 2 teaspoons of it in a glass of warm water and wash the head; it eliminates head lice, lice, head odor, and hair becomes black and soft.
Grind neem leaves and boil them in water and let them cool. After this, filter it and wash the head with it and massage the hair properly. When the hair is dry, mix it with equal amounts of clean castor oil and coconut oil and massage the head thoroughly with it. This will erase the dandruff from the head.
Measles:
Placing neem leaves on the bed of a measles patient daily calms the inner heat.
Boil fresh and soft leaves of neem in water and filter it, then soak a strip of clean cloth in it and keep it on the eyes of the measles patient.
Bathing the patient with neem water removes irritation in measles disease.
Paralysis in half of the body:
Massaging neem oil for 3 weeks is beneficial.
Baldness and hair growth:
Grind 10 grams of neem leaves and 10 grams of plum leaves and grind them well and make a paste of it. Massage this paste on the bald head and wash it after 1 to 2 hours; hair grows. Using it for 1 month is beneficial.
Applying neem oil daily for 2-3 months on the rashes made by blowing hair makes hair grow.
After boiling 100 grams of neem leaves in 1 liter of water, wash the hair and apply neem oil. This causes hair to grow.
Smelling neem oil cures baldness.
Strengthening hair and preventing hair fall:
Boil neem leaves in plenty of water. After this, take it off and cool it. By washing the head with this water, the hair becomes strong and black, and hair fall or hair loss stops.
Apply neem oil to the hair before sleeping at night and wash the head with neem soap in the morning. Regular consumption for a few days removes head lice and nits. With this, the hair is strong.
Applying neem oil makes the hair freeze again.
Boil neem and plum leaves in water, wash the hair, and dry the hair. Now applying neem oil to the roots of the hair and rubbing it stops hair fall.
If the hair fall of the head has just started, then for this you should boil neem and plum leaves in water. This reduces hair loss by washing hair. In this way, the hair will be black and long too. Lice also die from its use. While washing the head, keep in mind that this water enters the eyes. Keep your eyes closed for this.
Itching in the head
Make a decoction of neem leaves and wash the head. Applying neem oil after washing the head stops itching caused by head lice and nits. Grinding neem seeds is also beneficial.
Acne
Grind neem leaves, pomegranate peel, lodhra, and myrobalan equally with milk and prepare the paste. Applying this paste on the mouth daily brightens the mouth and face.
Without neem bark, rub neem wood with water like sandalwood and apply it on the acne continuously for 7 days; the acne is completely eliminated.
Rubbing neem root in water eliminates pimples and makes the face beautiful.
Dental Diseases:
Tooth decay is beneficial in dental diseases.
Gargle with a decoction made of neem flowers 3 times a day and chew the thin twig with the teeth and keep chewing it in the morning and evening; it relieves the diseases of teeth and gums.
Rubbing the juice of neem leaves eliminates tooth bacteria.
Applying oil obtained from neem lemon kernels to the teeth eliminates tooth worms and reduces toothache.
Boil neem leaves in water and filter them with a clean cloth and rinse them; it destroys tooth bacteria and also provides relief in pyorrhea.
Grind 50 grams of powder of neem root bark, 50 grams of sonageru, and 10 grams of rock salt; mix the juice of neem leaves and dry it and keep it in a vial. By brushing it, it relieves diseases like bleeding from teeth, pus, blisters in the mouth, bad odor from the mouth, nausea, etc.
Crush 100 grams of neem root and boil it in 500 ml of water. When 250 ml of water is left, rinsing with this water cures tooth diseases.
Brushing neem as soon as you wake up in the morning and rinsing it with a decoction of flowers relieves teeth and gum disease and strengthens the teeth.
Toothpaste:
After drying the twig and leaves of neem in the shade, burn them and make ashes. Grind it and make a paste. Add cloves, peppermint, and salt to add aroma and flavor. This cures pyorrhea and strengthens the teeth.
Boil neem leaves in water and rinse it; it eliminates toothache.
Take 3 grams of dried neem flowers filtered in a cloth with warm water every night.
Hair loss of eyelids:
Grind fresh neem leaves, squeeze them, and apply them on the eyelids; it stops the hair loss of the eyelids.
Swelling of the eyes
Boil 10 to 15 green leaves of neem in 1 glass of water. After this, add half a teaspoon of alum and filter the water. Bake the eyes 3 times with this water; swelling and itching of the eyes are cured.
Diseases of the eyes:
Heat the juice of tender leaves of neem on the other side of the eye and drip 2-2 drops of it in the ear; it reduces eye and ear pain.
Make a powder by grinding neem leaves and lodhra equally, then make a bundle of this powder and let it soak in water. Later, pouring this water into the eyes reduces swelling of the eyes.
Grind neem leaves and dry ginger and add a little rock salt to it and heat it and tie it on the eyes by keeping a cloth bandage at night. This eliminates pain and internal itching along with swelling above the eyes. Keep in mind that the patient should protect the eyes from cold water and cold air.
Place 500 grams of neem leaves in the fire between 2 earthen pots. When cooled, crush 100 ml of the inner ash in lemon juice and dry it. Applying its anjan (mascara) provides relief in eye diseases.
Grind 50 grams of neem leaves finely with water and cook them in mustard oil. When it becomes black by burning, dissolve it in the same oil and mix 500 grams of camphor and 500 grams of kalmishora in it and fill it in a glass vial. Applying it like mascara in the eyes at night and consuming Triphala with water in the morning removes eye irritation, redness, web, blur, etc., and increases the eyesight.
Collect 20 pieces of neem leaves, 20 grams of zinc bhasma, 6 pieces of cloves, 6 pieces of small cardamom, and 20 grams of sugar candy and make a fine antimony. Applying it in the eyes a little in the morning and evening cures mist.
Spread 20 dry neem leaves on 10 grams of clean cotton, then place 1 gram of camphor powder on the neem leaves and wrap the cotton and make a wick. Soak this wick in 10 grams of cow's ghee and make mascara out of it. Applying this made mascara at night increases the eyesight.
Thickening the juice of neem leaves and applying it in the form of anjan (kajal) is beneficial for itching of the eyes and eyelashes (hair of the eyelids).
Cataract
It is beneficial to apply a fine powder of neem seed kernels in a small amount of mascara in the eyes daily.
Applying the ash of the bark (skin) of the neem stem in the eyes like antimony removes blurriness of the eyes.
Cataract is cured by applying fine powder of neem or lotus flower with honey like mascara in the eyes while sleeping at night.
Nausea:
Wash the green leaves of neem, dry them, and grind them; after eating half a teaspoon in the morning and evening, wash them 2 times with cold water. After taking it for a few days, the gooseberry stops.
Dry the green leaves of neem in the shade and make a fine powder; this powder is consumed with half a teaspoon of cold water in the morning and evening in the form of funky.
Swollen eyes, misty webs:
Finely grind dried flowers of neem and kalmi shora and filter it in a cloth and apply it in the form of mascara in the eyes; it increases eyesight. In night blindness (loss of vision in the evening), raw fruit milk can be applied to the eyes.
Headache
Take dried neem leaves, black pepper, and rice and grind them finely to make a powder. After waking up in the morning, take a fourth part of about 1 gram in the nose on the same side; the pain of the old half of the head is immediately destroyed.
Dripping juice of fresh neem leaves in the nose in the amount of 2 to 3 drops is beneficial.
Massaging neem oil provides relief from headaches.
Headache is relieved by drinking neem bark and amla decoction.
In case of headache, rub neem bark, tree bark, and sandalwood and apply it on the head or forehead like a paste; it eliminates headache.
Fever:
Finely grind neem leaves, giloy, basil leaves, 20-20 grams of hurhur leaves, and 6 grams of black pepper, and mix it with water and make a fourth part tablet of about 1 gram, and after an interval of 2-2 hours, take 1-1 tablet with hot water; it is beneficial in influenza.
Make a powder by grinding 5 grams of neem bark, about half a gram of cloves, or about half a gram of cinnamon; taking 2 grams of it with water in the morning and evening provides relief in normal fever.
Grind the tender leaves of neem, tie it in a cloth, and extract the juice; mix honey in this juice and take it 2-3 times a day; it reduces fever.
Fever is cured by grinding dry ginger, giloy, neem bark, coriander, red sandalwood, padmawood, etc.
Drinking a decoction of neem bark relieves persistent fever.
Make an eight-eighth decoction of neem bark, kutki, absinthe, giloy, and atis and drink it in the morning and evening.
